Members of the Foxton Inclined Plane Trust support the full restoration of the Inclined Plane and the other activities of the Trust

Members benefits include our quarterly magazine, Plane Informer, and free access to the Museum whenever you visit.

By being a member you are helping to support the work of the Trust. Membership numbers are especially important when we are talking to local government organisations and similar bodies. The press are always asking for membership numbers and use them to judge how important a news story is.

The Trust works in partnership with British Waterways and the Foxton Locks Partnership.

The restoration of the lift has never been better supported. The momentum generated by the last £3m lottery project is continuing behind the scenes with the latest 'Masterpan' study. It will still be several years before the lift is working but there is a determination and expectation among our partners that we have not seen for a long time.

The need for a restored lift is growing. More boats on the canal every year means longer queues at the locks and, with the possibility of a reducing water supply, the extra control of water in the canal provided by a lift could become vital.

If you are not a member of the Trust already - now is the time to join!
