Archive
The Trust's archive is steadily growing and, thanks to volunteers, is catalogued on the 'Modes' system, accessible on advance request at the Museum. The Museum staff are willing to do searches for you but a donation towards the funds is welcomed. The Archive contains the FIPT collection and the Old Union Canals Society Collection, which is being catalogued.
The archives contain plans, photographs, books, letters and much more. In some cases the information is a copy but a great deal of it is original.
We have done some family history research into the people who lived and worked around Foxton. The database can be searched for names and we are slowly building up a picture on what information we hold on individuals and families. Sometimes we have audio or written words from these people, gold dust for any researcher.
If you are knowledgeable about our waterways and wish to get involved in improving the value of our archive please contact us. We have numbers of photographs and documents where we are unsure of the location or who is in the picture - you may be able to help?

We are planning to put much more of the collection on line - watch this space!
