The Foxton site is open free at all time, a small car park charge is made by British Waterways. £1.50 in the long stay car park on Gumley Road, and £2.00 on the short stay car park at the bottom lock. Blue badge holders are free.

Adults £2.50, Concessions £2.00. Kids Go Free, a maximum of 3 Children under 16 are free when accompanied by an adult. we regret that we cannot accept unaccompanied children.

If you visit Foxton regularly, please consider becoming members of the Foxton Inclined Plane Trust. You get free entry to the museum every time you visit, and we keep you up to date with developments on site.

Open Saturday to Wednesday, 10 - 4 subject to staff availability. open on Thursdays and Fridays by special arrangement. Please ring in advance, 0116 2792 657.

ACCESS

The Trust continues to improve its facilities for those who have mobility problems. The museum is level throughout, and advice is taken on all new displays. However the Locks site has steep slopes and wheelchair users may need assistance. a special blue badge parking bay is available closer to the museum please ring for advice.

Please be aware that the locks contain deep water and most of them are unfenced extra care is needed with children and pets. If in doubt please call us on 0116 2792 657
