At Foxton we are committed to offering an entertaining education package which is as flexible as possible. We will try our best to accommodate your needs. Foxton Inclined Plane Trust, through its Foxton Canal Museum and in conjunction with our partners, offers a package of "educational" materials, visits, etc for people of all ages and abilities.

Museum Party Visits: pre-booked groups, maximum of 30 people, can visit the Museum. The day time charge is £30; evening is £40.

Conducted Site Tours: one of our very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides can collect your party from your car/bus/boat/bicycles and take you round the site, finishing in the Museum. The maximum group size is 30 due to the limited space on the towpath. Day time pre-booked tours cost £40 per party and evening tours £50.

Goody Bag: All parties can arrange for a great value Goody Bag for each person in the party. Prices start at £1.50 each. They include things like pencils, bookmarks, postcards and information leaflets. We always ensure that our goody bags are better value than if you purchase the items individually, and it saves all that trouble of getting people through the shop.

The Museum is totally self-funded and the tour prices are very good value. Allowing your party to spend their money in the shop helps us maintain and improve the Museum.

Free Loans Boxes: We have a selection of Loans Boxes. You are welcome to borrow these free of charge for periods of one month (We do have to ask for a deposit of £20 to ensure prompt return).

Boat trips: Foxton Boat Services offer boat trips from site on their Victorian launch and self-drive day boats www.foxtonboats.co.uk.

Safety Equipment: We can loan safety equipment to visiting groups. These consist of 'throw bags' - a bag of rope which can be thrown to anyone who has fallen in, giving a prompt rescue option. These are free, but we will ask for a deposit of £20 each to ensure prompt return. They have never been used and if visitors take reasonable care they never will be!
