Members of the Foxton Inclined Plane Trust have organised a series of walks to, from and around Foxton Locks. You can enjoy them from the comfort of your computer chair or print them out using the 'pdf' version. Put on the walking boots and use them as a guide to the countryside.

Walk 1 explores Market Harborough and its canal from the town's railway station to the locks. The walk is split into 2 sections which can be done on separate days, or you can do both in one go. The walk looks at the local history, especially transport and canal connections.
Walk 2 takes you round the locks looking at at the past.
Walk 3 takes a stroll round Foxton Village and its history.
Walk 4 takes you to Gumley exploring its past and its waterway connections on the proposed line of the canal, which was never built.
