At Foxton we are committed to offering an entertaining education package which is as flexible as possible. We will try our best to accommodate your needs. Foxton Inclined Plane Trust, through its Foxton Canal Museum in conjunction with our partners, offers a package of "educational" materials, visits, etc for people of all ages and abilities.
Safety Equipment
We can loan safety equipment to visiting groups, provide a Loans Box and Models, offer Conducted Site Tours, or visit you at your own venue. New resources have been developed with the aid of a Local Heritage Initiative Grant.
Free Loans Boxes
We have a selection of Loans Boxes including one which belongs to British Waterways. You are welcome to borrow these free of charge for periods of one month. (we do have to ask for a deposit to ensure prompt return)

The Trust continues to improve its facilities for those who are less mobile. The museum is level throughout and best practice is followed on all new displays. The Foxton Locks site has recently been improved with good paths and shallow gradients wherever possible. However the slopes adjacent to the locks are steep and wheelchair users may need strong assistance. www.foxtonlocks.com will take you to British Waterways Foxton site, to view their access information.
For the visually impaired, most of our labeling is in large type, and we can offer special handling sessions where you can handle Museum artifacts. Other improvements will be made as and when our limited budget or grants will allow.
Please be aware that the locks contain deep water and most of them are unfenced. Extra care is needed with children and pets.
